In the midst of hope and excitement, the stunning Amina Kamara was crowned the first ever Miss West Africa on the Saturday 8th of November 2008 at the prestigious Conway Hall in London. The beautiful Sierra Leone contestant stole the show in a beautiful green dress by Keni Magma and her traditional wear by R.Kay designs amongst 11 other great pageants from various countries.
There couldn’t have been another winner that could have made the organisers of Miss West Africa as proud as they were of the 2008 reigning title holder. Amina Kamara cried on the eve of 11th November 2008 after winning unexpectedly. The highlight of the night was when she walked in her evening gown sponsored by R.Kay designs. In a previous interviews Amina stated she had never won anything before and never expected to be crowned Miss West Africa that night.
