Two weeks into the New Year and the New Miss West Africa International Vanny Reis has started the new year as she means to go on when she competed in the 4th Corrida da Liberdade in Cape Verde just a few days ago.
The 14k mini-marathon is held every year in the capital city, Praia, in honor of Democracy Day, which is a national holiday on the 13th January commemorating the return to democracy in January 1991.
Vanny was amongst more than 2,500 people who participated in the race which was won by Adilson Spencer and Crisolita Rodrigues. After the race she was privileged to meet Jorge Carlos Fonseca, the President of Cape Verde, and the First Lady Lígia Fonseca.
