MWA Ghana 2012 Contestants At Society for the Socially Disadvantaged

Miss West Africa Ghana 2012 Contestants visited the ‘Ghana’s Society for the Socially Disadvantaged’ Center today. This center was set up before Ghana’s Independence and has been running ever since with very little support from the churches, the governments nor the ministers.

Their prime objective and achievement is to maintain a the center for all physically challenged Ghanaians who don’t want to be subjected to begging on the streets but wish to tap into their skills and resources and play a vital role in society just like everyone.

Most of the students of the centre are highly skilled in clothes making, shoe designing, computer skills, music production and more. The center provide graduations and certificates for the students. Most of these students are highly proud of themselves and do not acknowledge themselves as disadvantaged as they have achieved or in the process of achieving their goals.

On Friday, the 3rd of August 2012, the center will be inviting everyone to attend their graduation day, where many can see clothes, designs, creations and the development of their student. Miss West Africa Ghana organizers are currently discussing ways in which we could assist the Ghana’s Society for the Socially Disadvantaged to be able to accept donations online.

So please stay on this page as you will be alerted as soon as this information is provided. Amongst the Miss West Africa Contestants were Naa, Helen, Agnes, Gifty, Arabella, Fremah, Olivia, Joycelyn, Jemina and Millicent. Do look out for them very soon when they profiles are created. For more information on the center, please contact Mr Tony Mensah on +233244818482.
